We of St. Peter’s extend a welcome to those who are single, married, divorced,
gay, filthy rich, dirt poor, yo no habla Ingles.
We extend a special welcome to those who have crying babies or restless children,
We are a church of open hearts and open minds.
We welcome you if you can sing like
Andrea Bocelli or can’t carry a note in a bucket.
We greet you who can trace your ancestry to the Mayflower,
as well as you who just got off the boat.
You are welcome here if you are “just browsing,”
just woke up or just got out of jail.
We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope, or haven’t been
in a church since little Joey’s baptism.
We extend a very special welcome to those who
are over 60 but not yet grown up,
and to teenagers who are growing up too fast.
We like soccer moms, little league dads,
starving artists, tree-huggers,
vegetarians, junk food eaters.
We welcome you who are in
recovery or still addicted.
You are accepted if you’re having problems
or if you’re down in the dumps or if you
don’t like “organized religion;”
some of us have been there too.
If you blew all your money in Las Vegas,
you’re welcome here.
We welcome Republicans, Democrats
and those who never vote.
We offer a particular welcome to those
who are here because grandma is in town
and wanted to go to church.
We welcome those who are tattooed, pierced or both.
We offer a specific welcome to those
who could use a prayer right now, had
religion shoved down their throat
as a kid, or got lost in the maze
of Lago Vista streets and wound
up here by mistake.
We welcome tourists, seekers, doubters, bleeding hearts … and YOU!
Our weekly service is Sunday at 10:00 AM
We at St Peter’s welcome everyone,
regardless of religious persuasion,
ethnicity, sexual orientation,
or political position.
We are at 3305 Pinnacle Cove, Lago Vista, Texas 78645
