The second car I fell in love with is this 1946
Jaguar Mark IV Drophead Coupe. Steel grey.
Intimidating (for its time).
Pictures are taken in the driveway of our home
just south of Akron, Ohio, in 1960.
Although beautiful, the Jag did not drive as
well as the MGTC had done. It was somewhat sluggish on turns,
even though very low-slung for its day.
We sold it to a buyer in Texas in 1962 for lack
of room to store it. He "stole it" for $605.
